Exchange 2007 POP3 Server "unavailable"
Hi All,Currently having an issue where we cannot seem to access a mailbox on an Exchange 2007 server using POP3.Basically the setup - MBX is the server hosting the mailboxes - SMTP is the server with POP3 / Hub Transport stuff. If the mailbox in question is residing on our old server, an Exchange 2000 server, I can access it using the Exchange 2007 SMTP server, however any mailbox residing on the Exchange 2007 server MBX will not connect. If I connect manually via telnet to POP3 via telnet, I get this:user xxx\xxxxxx (domain\username - I have also tried the email address, username, domain\username\alias)+OKpass xxxxxxxxxx-ERR Server Unavailable. 21-ERR Connection is closed. 22The error that Outlook Express provides: st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'smtp', Server: 'smtp', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Server Unavailable. 21', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The only two other articles on it in the whole of the Interwebs are both still unanswered.

Never mind. Found it! Apparently the POP3 service was set to run as Administrator, needs to be using the local credentials.
